The Y-Zone
Want a place to be yourself?
Want to hang out with some pretty cool people?
Want to learn about what the Bible says about stuff that has meaning to YOU?
Then come Join us Wednesday nights from 7- 8:30pm. We play games, eat snacks, laugh, have fun, scream, yell, bounce off the walls, and then learn about life, Jesus, ourselves, each other, and what all that stuff means. Oh, and that’s not all, Y Zoner’s get to go on field trips, have parties, see concerts, go camping, and help the community.

This is Woodbury's Group for today's young Christians in grades 6-12.

Updates From Casper:

Y Zoner’s had a blast at the school year-end bowling party. We drew attention to ourselves by bowling in Halloween costumes in the middle of June. We gorged ourselves on pizza, bowled a few games, and had some awesome fellowship. I had numerous people come up and ask who we were (because of the costumes) I was proud to say we were the Youth group of Woodbury Presbyterian!

Y Zone had another successful “Lock-in” Thanks to all who joined us for the event, and even more thanks to the adults who worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was safe and had a great time. Special thanks to Mr. O for helping teach that night.

Y Zone “Helps the community.” Wednesday July 9th Y-zone joined youth groups from four other local churches at Spirit of Joy to help separate, sort, and prepare clothing, food, and towels for “Project: Homeless Connect.”

I hope to be bringing together these different youth groups more often… we had fun, helped the community, and met some really cool people. Thank you Spirit of Joy for hosting this event.

Coming soon…“Confirmation” All those interested in going through confirmation, or you simply want to learn more about it. See Casper or Pastor Rod.

Upcoming events include a car wash and Disney’s “Night of Joy”

Never been to Y Zone? Bet you want to now. You can contact anyone of the youth leaders or just come by one Wednesday night.

A cool place to hang out, be with friends, and learn about God.

It’s not all Bible reading and just boring old, talk-about-the-word thing. Trust me. I hated classes like that, but Y-Zone is anything but that. And Saturday, we had a blast trying to get everyone soaked at the car wash. You learn a lot and have loads of fun at the same time. Our teachers are the best. Mike, the Pastors son, is the one who comes up with all the crazy games we do during Fellowship time, when the High-schoolers and the Middle-schoolers are together for a while. After the game, Erin and Casper take the High-School kids to the room next door, for their lesson, while Mrs. Cheryl and Mike stay with the Middle-School kids. This happens every Wednesday and I go every week. I love Y-Zone and this year it’s better than ever!
