Dr. Rod Pinder,  Pastor     Email
Pastor Rod, who is a native Floridian, grew up in Miami and later graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park with a degree in Philosophy and Religion. After graduation Rod worked as a Community Relations Officer for the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Later, he attended Union Theological Seminary in Virginia and earned a Doctor of Ministry in Worship degree, as well as a Master of Theology in New Testament (Acts 2:14-39).
Happily married to his wife Pat since 1979, they have lived in East Orange County since 1988. They have two children, Jessica a UCF graduate, working as an Assistant Admissions Representative at Full Sail College, and Michael who is currently a student at the University of Central Florida.
Before being called into full-time ministry, Rod wanted to be a jazz musician. This love of music continues to have a great influence on his ministry. Rod enjoys working with Woodbury’s youth and helping to lead worship by using his musical talents. Most of all, he loves being a pastor and sharing God's love with people on a personal level.

Joyce Goodwin, Interim Director of Christian Education  Email

Joyce Goodwin's twenty years of experience in Christian Education, her love for children, and her desire to see them grow in their faith are her most important qualifications for her job as Director of Christian Education at Woodbury Presbyterian Church.  Joyce believes that children and adults alike can and should be nurtured toward active and meaningful expression of their trust in God through active membership in our church.  She has been the wife of Dean Goodwin for 26 years, and together they are the parents of four children:  Jeff, age 25; Kevin, age 23; Alaina, age 11; and Jonathan, age 9.  The family moved to Orlando from the Northeast in 2004, and joined our Woodbury family shortly thereafter.  Joyce has been an enthusiastic participant in adult Christian Education opportunities such as Alpha Classes and Forty Days of Purpose herself, so she speaks from experience when she calls others to work with her to continue God's work of Christian Education here in our East Orlando Community.
